Elzeline Kooy - welcome home

Elzeline Kooy is an illustrator based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her work is playful and evolves a lot around color, with an eye for detail. With this, she often references surrealism and comics. Flora and Fauna also play a big role, as well as architecture, tiling and bizarre swimming pools. She has a small obsession with bricks, basketballs and palmtrees and an often asked question is;"But can I draw a face on it?"

In the summer of 2013, Elzeline completed her bachelor of design and illustration at Willem de Kooning academy, in Rotterdam. In July of 2014, she graduated from Sint-Lukas arts in Brussels, where she completed a Masters in comics.

Her current occupations mostly evolve around working as an editorial illustrator, which she alternates with collaborations with fellow creatives and making free work.
