STOM500 - MANEKIKACHU
FINE ART PRINT · CP037 · 2023
STOM500 is a self-taught artist who grew up in a village outside Basel, Switzerland but today lives and works in Strasbourg, France. Trained as a graphic designer, professional illustrator and renowned graffiti artist for over the past five years, Stom500 has been, as he defines himself with humour, a veritable "Swiss army knife". Spray, brushes, acrylic ... Large murals or small canvases: he uses a variety of mediums and styles with a predilection for animal themes which, under the varnish of pleasure, carry a relevant message, often humanistic or ecological. Like his swirling bees or his seemingly incompatible bestiaries, such as the raven and the fox inspired by La Fontaine's fables".

In the summer of 2022, the idea of a collaboration was born. In this, the "Manekikachu" print is the first project we will release in collaboration. Eventually, we also want to create a book in collaboration with a selection of STOM500's work.
The fine art print is based on an original painting (80.0 x 80.0 cm / 31.5" x 31.5") made in 2022. After we photographed the original, we made a fine art print with a total edition of 50 + 5 AP's. In addition to the normal edition (edition of 35 + 3 AP's), we also made a hand embellished version (edition of 15 + 2 AP's) in which one of the bees was hand painted.
