During a 7 day artist in residence in our studio in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands we worked together on a number of products. As a starting point, we collected several old school posters and magazines around town that Ed made a number of collages with.

One of the collage ended up being the starting point of the hand-embellished fine art print that we printed in an edition of 30. The print contains 3 rounded corners and a painted detail in two shades of green.

Each print comes with a hand-bound A5 zine with process photos, sketches, photos of things Ed gets inspiration from and some other travel snapshots. We used different papers and printing methods for the zine.

In addition to the fine art print, Ed also worked on two 80x100 cm paintings that we offer through our webshop. Different painting techniques were used to create the layering typical of Ed's style. The paintings are made on high quality linen canvas and include an aluminum frame.

ED BATS , who began as a graffiti artist, combines hard-edged abstraction with minimalism, creating works that push the boundaries of form and composition. His art, characterized by meticulous layering and reworking, often incorporates second-hand furniture and household items. This approach results in pieces that blur the lines between painting, sculpture, and installation, showcasing his deep love for design and craftsmanship.
