HMX & HESP - INBETWEEN

We partnered up with artists HMX and Tiago Hesp to create a 3-color riso printed zine for the InBetween exhibition. This collaborative project reflects the experimental and improvisational spirit of the show, translating the dynamic energy of their line work into a tactile, printed form.

In InBetween, artists HMX and Tiago Hesp explore the nuanced rhythm of line drawing through an experimental and collaborative exhibition. What begins as an intuitive fascination with abstract mark-making evolves into a shared visual language—one born from gestures, movement, and mutual curiosity. The exhibition delves into the concept of in-betweening: drawing not just towards one another, but with one another, allowing lines to morph, merge, and create new meanings in the space between.

HMX and Hesp’s practices intersect in a realm where line, form, and dynamic interaction take center stage. Rooted in post-modern graffiti and contemporary abstraction, their collaboration thrives on surprise and improvisation. What unfolds is not a resolution of style, but a dialogue—between artists, mediums, and visitors. InBetween becomes a visual mapping of their joint restlessness, energy, and experimental spirit.

The exhibition is on view at KEVN (Kelderman en van Noort) until October 12. The zine is available at the exhibition, with 10 copies available online.
