ED BATS - HOOG WATER

During a 7 day artist in residence in our studio in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands we worked together on a number of products.

Next to a hand-embellished fine art print Ed worked on two 80x100 cm paintings that we offer through our webshop. Different painting techniques were used to create the layering typical of Ed's style. The paintings are made on high quality linen canvas and include an aluminum frame.

ED BATS , who began as a graffiti artist, combines hard-edged abstraction with minimalism, creating works that push the boundaries of form and composition. His art, characterized by meticulous layering and reworking, often incorporates second-hand furniture and household items. This approach results in pieces that blur the lines between painting, sculpture, and installation, showcasing his deep love for design and craftsmanship.
