In the summer of 2022, we embarked on a biking trip through Cologne, Germany, capturing the hidden artistic patterns on steel and concrete structures.
The patterns we photographed were eventually merged with some hand-drawn patterns that were digitally printed in our printshop in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.
After that, Kai Semor, in his studio in Cologne transformed the merged patterns into 12 unique collages.
Kai Semor has his roots in classical style writing, he has gradually immersed himself in the realm of abstract painting. In his captivating "FluorSeries," he presents a fusion of abstract forms with distinct, lighthearted textures.
Employing fluorescent red alongside shades of grey, black, and white,Kai Semor passionately experiments with diverse canvases, including weathered wood, metal, and even photographs. His artistic endeavors reveal a fearless spirit, constantly pushing boundaries and exploring new artistic expressions.
