TRIPL/FURIOUS - REPAINTING SUBWAY ART

"Repainting Subway Art" is a fine art print created in collaboration with graffiti writer Tripl/Furious. The print was made on the occasion of the "Patience" group exhibition that opened in June 2024 at Colab Gallery in Weil in Rhein, Germany.

Tripl/Furious, a Dutch graffiti writer who uses both aliases, started in 2013 with a challenging project: recreating all the train graffiti and photos from the legendary book Subway Art, down to the smallest detail. It took him 10 years to complete, but the result is a monumental tribute to the original writers and photo- graphers. The print is based on the works featured on the cover of the original "Subway Art" book.

The print is 40 x 50 cm (15.75" x 19.69") and is printed with (12 colours) archival ink on 270 grams fine art paper. The prints are all numbered and signed by the artist and are made in an edition of 150 + 5 APs.
